Rain Typeface
Font Design
Rain is a custom typeface created from a recipe of randomized set of attributes. I used those characteristics to create a typeface with a personality. The recipe was; Stroke Ends: Rounded, No Serif, Contrast Amount: Not Visible, Stems: Straight, Weight: Thin, Ascenders: Shorter Than Normal, Descenders: Longer Than Normal, and Width: Extra Condensed.
With this recipe I had already visualized what the typeface would look like. I was going for something elegant and thin. After creating the first couple letters, it went an entirely different direction. I named it Rain because of the thin long nature. When typed out in a sentence, it looks like a fairy tale book typeface.
